Biscuitina's Charming Gingerman - A Snowy Little Christmas Journey
Some dolls are made for a shelf. Others look as though they're about to catch the next train to a Christmas party.
SugarCups Biscuitina (ビスケティーナ) - Charming Gingerman belongs firmly in the second group. Her little gingerbread-shaped bag, fluffy winter accessories and pastel outfit suggest someone has a festive itinerary planned, and probably a snack tucked away for the journey.
A Christmas trip in miniature
Azone introduced this version for Sugar Sugar Party 3, its SugarCups third-anniversary celebration. According to the story accompanying the original announcement, Biscuitina is travelling by train to a long-awaited Christmas party with her gingerbread friends. Snow is falling outside, and she's looking forward to the illuminations after dark.
That explains a surprising amount about the clothing. The soft beret and snowflake-patterned coat give her a properly wintry silhouette, while the frilled dress beneath is considerably more colourful than a typical Christmas outfit.
Pink and green beads on the dress resemble ornaments on a Christmas tree. The coat has a generous flared shape, and the gingerbread pochette comes decorated with a tiny ribbon. It is exactly the sort of accessory that makes me stop scrolling through a product gallery and zoom in.
Vanilla Blonde and Maple Nuts
Biscuitina's hair is officially named Vanilla Blonde and styled in half-twin tails. The Maple Nuts doll eyes use Out of Base's OB eye system, with a warm colour that suits her gingerbread theme rather than competing with the pastel layers.
The overall design was created by Tsuyuri Nanami, with outfit pattern work credited to Akai Camera. It's a good example of the collaboration behind some of Azone's more elaborate small-scale dolls. Even when the doll is tiny, the outfit is treated as a complete fashion concept.
What's in the set?
Azone lists the doll, hat, hair ribbons, tippet, coat, dress, shorts, socks, shoes, gingerbread bag and five types of hand parts, including the ones already attached.
She uses the Picco Neemo P body in Milky White. The original Japanese product code is PID048-BCG, and Azone's product catalogue records its release on 26 July 2024. This is a retrospective collector feature, not a newly announced 2026 doll.
One thing to check when comparing photos is whether the coat and tippet are being worn. They change her silhouette quite noticeably. The outfit underneath deserves a look of its own too.
Nana's little note ♡
I suspect the gingerbread bag would make a very good companion for doll-sized café photography. A warm drink, a miniature train ticket and a bit of fake snow would probably be enough to turn one afternoon into an entire photoshoot.
Of course, finding a tiny train station might become the next problem.
