A Quiet Afternoon with Amelie - FR Nippon's Afternoon Reverie

Three friends, a vintage-yukata-inspired print and a very charming little handbag.
Some releases are made for collectors who love comparing body specifications. Others are irresistible because someone has clearly put thought into the fabrics. Afternoon Reverie, a new collection celebrating 20 years of FR Nippon, seems firmly in the second camp.
Azone's September announcement introduces the concept through Amelie, with Misaki and Yua also part of the three-character lineup. Yua is the character formerly called Kylie. The collection comes from Integrity Toys: Azone says designer Pamela Thompson developed these pieces following its request to bring three characters back in time for FR Nippon's anniversary.
The idea isn't to bury the dolls under accessories. It's to give three familiar faces a coordinated fashion story, with details you might only notice after you've spent a little time looking.

A vintage-yukata mood, without a yukata

The bubble-shaped satin dresses have prints inspired by vintage Japanese yukata designs. Azone says the patterns were originally drawn by hand for this collection.
Each doll shares the same basic dress design but wears a different colour: cream for Misaki, pink for Amelie and pale blue for Yua. The colour appears beyond the dresses, including in details such as pearl accessories and the lining of the wedge heels.
The woven-rattan-style handbag is another lovely touch. It has an FR Nippon brand emblem and feels like the sort of accessory that makes an entire miniature scene click into place. Add a book and an iced drink and I may forget to take a photograph because I'm too busy arranging the bag.
Amelie's collector details

The specific doll fully detailed in Azone's 25 September 2026 announcement is:
Afternoon Reverie Amelie Dressed Doll, The FR Nippon Collection
Manufacturer's item number needs confirmation: Azone News gives FRN080-ARA, while its current official product catalogue lists FRN081-ARA. Both are shown here rather than silently choosing one.
Integrity Toys collection number: 81107
Amelie has a Platinum Blonde long, straight hairstyle, Japan Skin Tone, and hand-applied real eyelashes. Azone's own descriptions disagree about the head: the news post refers to a Misaki head, while the current product catalogue lists Head Sculpt: Amelie, followed by another Misaki-head description. Rather than choosing one as definitively correct, Nana recommends asking the retailer to verify the sculpt. The official sources agree on an FR Nippon body approximately 29 cm tall, with movement at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, below the bust and knees.
Her set includes the doll, bubble satin dress, underwear, straw boater hat, two-tone pearl necklace and earrings, wedge heels, woven-rattan-style handbag, gripping hand parts and doll stand.
The neutral makeup and adaptable straight hair deliberately leave room for collectors to style her in different ways. Azone describes the overall intent as revisiting the Traffic Stoppers 2.0 look with a quieter palette suited to the anniversary.
A collector note: two official listings, different specifications

This is one of those rare occasions when comparing two official sources is essential. Azone News lists FRN080-ARA and mentions a Misaki head; the current Azone product catalogue says FRN081-ARA / JAN 0753250811079, and lists "Head Sculpt: Amelie" as well as a Misaki-head description elsewhere on the page. Until Azone clarifies these differences, neither product number nor head sculpt should be treated as settled by the Journal. For the listed accessories, the two sources broadly agree.
And Misaki and Yua?
Azone names Misaki and Yua (formerly Kylie) as the other two collection members, and gives their respective dress colours. But the article above provides Amelie's detailed body and set information specifically.
That distinction matters: please don't assume all three have the same hair colour, skin tone or product code just because they share a coordinated wardrobe. We can expand our coverage if Azone publishes complete official records for the other editions.
This is an Integrity Toys / FR Nippon fashion-doll collaboration featured through Azone, not an original Ex☆Cute or Iris Collect doll line. Its accessories and sizing should be checked within its own range.
Nana's little note ♡
I really like the way the three colours create a conversation without making everyone look identical. Amelie in pink beside Misaki in cream and Yua in pale blue sounds like a gentle little afternoon scene.
And that tiny emblem on the bag? Yappari, someone knew collectors would zoom in. (´꒳`)♡
For current retailer information, check Hanabana Hobbies or the official Azone source. The original Japanese manufacturer timing does not imply that Hanabana is carrying these dolls or can fulfil an order by the same date.
