Back to Saint Portoldam - Koron and Miu's 20th-Anniversary School Uniforms
The old school is celebrating twenty years, and two familiar faces have returned in a newly tailored uniform.
Ex☆Cute reached its twentieth anniversary at the end of 2025. To mark it, Azone revisited Saint Portoldam Girls' School's junior high uniform, updating the outfit while borrowing features from the characters' earliest appearances.
That's an appealing idea for long-time collectors: a doll that feels recognisable from years ago but clearly belongs to the present. For someone meeting Koron (ころん) or Miu (みう) for the first time, though, the clothes simply tell you a little about who each girl is.
Koron - a little history in the hairstyle
Koron has Dark Brown hair inspired by the first Ex☆Cute series, but Azone uses lighter, finer doll-hair fibres than it did back then. Her fringe is fuller, and the Berry Brown eyes use an updated print with extra highlights. The cheeks are softly coloured rather than strongly blushed.
The renewed uniform combines a short-sleeved sailor-style one-piece and a separate bolero. Openings around the collar allow it to keep a tidy silhouette even from behind. That also means you can remove the bolero for a lighter look without turning the costume into a different set.
Her practical accessories tell another little story: a two-way bag that works as a shoulder bag or handbag, with a check-patterned lining, and the high white socks strongly associated with Koron's school look.

Miu - the same school, a softer entrance
Miu has Black hair and Blue eyes, again recalling the first Ex☆Cute designs. Her newer face print adds light-catching details to the irises and softer pink tones around the eyes and cheeks. The overall impression is gentle, which suits Miu's reserved personality.
She wears the same basic revised sailor dress and bolero concept, but Azone points to a red bow at the collar, shorter white fold-over socks, and a bag with a small silver button on its handle. The school outfit looks smart without feeling overly formal.
Azone's photos show Miu with a little frog friend called Pyonta (ぴょん太). This is an adorable character detail, but the frog is a photography prop and is not included. It would be disappointing to spend a week searching a new doll's box for a friend who was never packed there.

Both dolls measure approximately 23.5 cm and come with the doll, bolero, one-piece sailor dress, underwear, socks, shoes and bag. The hair is fine-type rooted fibre in a soft-vinyl head. Azone credits Omoitaru (思い当たる) with the face design.
An important ordering distinction: Azone's Japanese announcement for Miu includes a later correction concerning the manufacturer's original delivery timetable. This is an archival collector feature, not a promise of delivery from Hanabana Hobbies. Readers following an existing order should use information from their actual retailer.

I can picture Koron keeping an eye on the clock while Miu stops at a window to admire the gardens. They would eventually reach class together, although I'm fairly sure one of them would be carrying the other's bag.
Remember to check the accessories before packing everything away. That tiny silver button on Miu's bag is precisely the sort of detail you appreciate once you notice it. (・ω・)
