Mii's Little Cat Costumes - Black Cat or White Cat? Meet HUG Mii!

By Nana · Published 11 October 2026

Two cat costumes, two different smiles, and one important reminder about the clothes shown in the photos.

Mii has quite the fashion résumé. She's a student in the Luminous Club, where aspiring models and designers sketch, sew and argue about which ribbon would look best. And she's already appeared in rather more sophisticated streetwear in Azone's Luminous*Street series.

Then came HUG Mii!, and somebody apparently decided that the obvious next step was a fuzzy cat costume.

Azone announced the pair in December 2024 as the second wave of doll releases for Kurosu Mii (黒須みい). Both are 1/6-scale dolls with soft, plush-like cat suits, but their faces, hair and little costume details are different. They deserve to be compared as two releases, not treated as one costume in two colours.

Black Cat - a cheerful smile under all that fluff

The official ルミナス＊ストリート／Mii（みい） HUG Mii！（Black Cat ver．） has Platinum Blonde straight hair beneath a black cat hood. Her eyes are Grape Jelly, and Azone chose a cheerful smiling mouth for her face.

Azone's styling makes the most of her round, fluffy silhouette, especially when she's seated. Underneath the costume is still an articulated doll, so the appeal is really in that odd combination: a character you can pose who looks as cuddly as a small plush toy.

Her product code is POD047-MHB, and the costume set includes the cat suit, detachable collar and apron, alongside the doll and underwear.

White Cat - floppy ears and a poseable tail

The ルミナス＊ストリート／Mii（みい） HUG Mii！（White Cat ver．） looks rather different. Her pink-blonde hair, floppy ears and pale blue ribbon give the White Cat a softer feel, while the mouth is a little rounded hoyo-mouth expression.

Azone highlights the longer-pile faux fur on her tummy and tail. Even more useful for display, the tail contains a shape-holding wire, allowing you to curl it into different positions. Removing the apron and collar makes the look even fluffier.

She's POD047-MHW, with the same basic costume-piece list as Black Cat.

One photo detail matters: Azone shows Mii without the cat suit in separately sold clothing, including a white flowing skirt and milk-coloured oversized knit top. Those are photo-styling examples, not extra clothes included in the HUG Mii box.

Which Mii is which?

Both use the Pure Neemo Flection XS girl body (White) at approximately 21.5 cm, with face design by Hotaru (ほたる). Their listed included pieces are the doll, cat suit, detachable collar, apron and underwear. These are complete individual dolls, not a two-costume accessory pack.

If you're collecting Uru as well, Mii belongs to the same LuminousStreet* world. Nana has already introduced Uru's Pop'n SODA MAID Strawberry and Sweet Blue versions, with their own cat-ear styling. The two characters take completely different approaches to the subject of being a cat. Naturally.

Nana's little note ♡

I would put Black Cat Mii beside a tiny cushion and White Cat Mii beside a little ribbon box. One looks ready to pounce into a photo, and the other seems halfway through deciding whether posing is worth interrupting a nap.

Ara? The photo corner has apparently become a cat lounge. (´꒳`)♡
