Four Little Gifts from M.K. - Sakura and Temari's Mizutama & Hanazono Wardrobes
Four dolls, two friends, two styles. Which would you choose?

Some outfits are made for one doll. Mary Knight had a different idea: if Sakura and Temari are going out together, why not make something for both of them?
Azone's Colorful Dreamin' - A Gift from M.K. collection introduces four looks: Sakashita Sakura and Temari, each in a bold Mizutama version and a softer Hanazono version. The dresses share the same design language, but the two girls don't wear identical clothes. Mary's chosen silhouettes, colours and accessories suit their different personalities.
And there's a tiny bear involved. Of course there is.
First, who is M.K.?
M.K. stands for Mary Knight, the fictional dressmaker behind the A Gift from M.K. series. In the story accompanying these releases, Mary makes new outfits for her friends Sakura and Temari. For the Hanazono fabric, she even hides her initials among the bears, flowers, ribbons and pearl-like motifs.
The designs make generous use of layered skirts, printed fabric and small accessories, but the coordination is carefully adjusted for each girl.
There is a second, rather sweet reason for the bear accessories. In Colorful Dreamin' lore, Temari was once Sakura's beloved childhood teddy bear before becoming a human girl. Mary makes a new small bear for Sakura and Temari to enjoy. The included bears have removable skirts, because apparently even the stuffed animals need a coordinated outfit.
Two collections, four personalities
Sakura - Mizutama version: a red polka-dot party

Sakura's Mizutama outfit is the bolder of her two releases. Mizutama means polka dots, and here the red fabric is covered in tiny white spots, framed by large bows, lace and generously layered ruffles.
Sakura gets the slightly longer, more grown-up silhouette compared with Temari's matching Mizutama dress. The voluminous sleeves and pannier can be removed, giving collectors another way to style the outfit.
Her Honey Brown hair is arranged in corkscrew-like twin tails, while her Cherry Red eyes have metallic-style irises. The warm-toned makeup works beautifully with the red dress without overwhelming her expression.
It's the version I'd choose for a miniature party invitation. Although finding a doll-sized venue with enough space for those sleeves might be another matter.

Sakura - Hanazono version: pink flowers and hidden details

For Sakura's Hanazono version, the volume remains but the mood changes. Hanazono means flower garden, and her dress is full of soft pink tones, delicate decorative prints, ruffles and bows.
Her hair is called Antique Pink. Rather than a single flat pink, Azone describes a mixture of warm brown and pink shades. The Mauve Pink eyes complement that softer colouring.
Take a closer look at the printed fabric. The little M.K. initials are worked into the design, alongside floral and teddy-bear motifs. I love details like that. They're easy to miss when you first look at a photo but give you something new to notice later.
The included bear wears a miniature skirt, and yes, it looks very pleased with its outfit.

Temari - Mizutama version: red dots with extra energy

At first glance, Temari's red dress looks similar to Sakura's. Look again at the skirt: Temari's is shorter and livelier, giving her a more playful silhouette.
Her Sunny Gold hair falls in long wavy twin tails, and her Jelly Red eyes use metallic-style irises. Between the bright bow and the swinging skirt, she has the expression of someone who has been ready for the outing for at least half an hour.
The sleeves can also be removed for a lighter style. Put Sakura and Temari side by side, and the coordination feels intentional rather than copied. That's one of my favourite things about this release.

Temari - Hanazono version: a little patch of blue sky

And finally, the pale-blue Temari. This Hanazono edition is probably the most visually different of the four, with a powder-blue floral dress, a large matching bow and long, softly coloured hair.
Azone names the hair colour Pale Blue, combining light blue and white for an almost translucent effect. Her Jade Green eyes add a contrasting blue-green note.
She shares the Hanazono fabric theme with Sakura, but the shorter dress and lighter colours make her feel younger and a little more adventurous.
If Sakura Hanazono is the flower arrangement, Temari Hanazono might be the breeze that blows through it. She seems unlikely to sit still for the photograph.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sakura - Mizutama | POD049-SGM | Honey Brown | Cherry Red, metallic-style | PureNeemo 2 Feel S / Girl (White) |
| Sakura - Hanazono | POD049-SGH | Antique Pink | Mauve Pink | PureNeemo 2 Feel S / Girl (White) |

Sakura is approximately 22.5 cm tall; Temari is approximately 21 cm tall. Their heads, body types and proportions differ, so don't assume that a clothing item fitting Sakura will also fit Temari.
Small but important correction: Azone updated the specifications for both Temari editions on 11 September 2026. Temari's hair is fine-type, not normal-type as originally listed. Sakura Mizutama uses normal-type fibres; Sakura Hanazono uses a blend of normal and fine fibres.
What about the release dates?
Azone's original Japanese schedule listed 19 March 2027 for the two Sakura versions and 26 April 2027 for the two Temari versions. These are manufacturer schedule details from the original announcements and should not be treated as promises of delivery by a retailer. Release plans can change, so check current official information.

Nana's little note ♡
What makes this release fun isn't simply that there are four pretty dolls. It's that you can see how the same fashion idea changes from one character to another.
If you like dramatic red-and-white styling, the Mizutama versions have plenty to examine. If pastel colours and tiny printed details are more your thing, look closely at the Hanazono dresses.
And if you collect both Sakura and Temari, the little bears make their shared backstory even sweeter. I suspect they'd look rather good lined up together for a photo - although the dolls might need to move aside to give their plush companions some space.

Four outfits, two friends, and a dressmaker whose little signature deserves a second look.
Until next time, happy collecting!
