Your First Azone Doll: The Size Guide I Wish Came with Every Tiny Outfit

By Nana · Published 11 October 2026

One wardrobe label says 1/6. Another says Picco Neemo. Suddenly choosing a pair of shoes has become a research project.

Here's the little secret of doll collecting: choosing a doll is often easier than figuring out which clothes will fit her.

Azone makes dolls across several families. Some are small enough to sit beside a teacup. Others have room for elaborate wigs, layered costumes and full-sized display furniture. Scale is a helpful starting point, but it isn't a clothing-fit guarantee. Two dolls described as 1/6 can have different proportions and body patterns.

So before you buy your first tiny jacket, it's worth checking the actual body named in the product description. The manufacturer usually gives you the answer. You just have to know which line to read.

The quick comparison

Doll family or example Common body in these examples Approximate height What to check
SugarCups / Marshmalotta (シュガーカップス/マシュマロッタ) Picco Neemo P (ピコニーモP) 13 cm Smallest proportions; don't assume other 1/12 outfits fit
Luminous*Street / Mii HUG Mii! (ルミナス*ストリート/みい) Pure Neemo Flection XS girl 21.5 cm XS patterning, sleeves and shoe shape
Ex☆Cute / Koron (えっくす☆きゅーと/ころん) Pure Neemo Flection S girl 23.5 cm Different from the XS girl body
Iris Collect petit / Komomo (アイリスコレクトプチ/こもも) AZT8-45 Approximately 45 cm class Wig size, eye size and torso shape
Iris Collect / Yuliya (アイリスコレクト/ユリヤ) AZO2 I-bust 50 cm 50 cm body class Bust and wig specifications before dressing

These are examples from specific officially announced editions, not universal measurements for every doll ever released under those series names. Azone has multiple bodies within some lines. When you have a particular doll in front of you, the edition's product code and body name take priority over this chart.

Why "1/12" does not always mean the same wardrobe

Azone's Picco Neemo (ピコニーモ) family has several body shapes. The P body, used for SugarCups, is especially tiny and cute, with proportions quite different from the S, M, D and R types. The manufacturer's original Picco Neemo overview describes this family as its 1/12-scale body line and distinguishes these shapes.

That means buying clothes labelled only "1/12" can be a gamble. You want to see an explicit claim that an outfit fits Picco Neemo P, or actual measurements and fitting photographs. A 1/12 chair may also be too tall for SugarCups even when it looks fine beside a taller 1/12 doll.

If you're meeting the characters for the first time, see Meet the SugarCups Girls.

The XS versus S question

Azone's Pure Neemo line is familiar to many Ex☆Cute and Luminous*Street collectors. But even these dolls do not all use an identical body.

For example, the Black and White HUG Mii! releases use the XS girl body, around 21.5 cm tall. The 20th-anniversary Koron uses a Flection S girl body, around 23.5 cm. Both are discussed as 1/6 dolls, but the differences in height and proportions can change where a skirt falls or whether sleeves are comfortable.

Body letters, body generation and bust type matter. A clothing listing that says it fits one Pure Neemo body should not automatically be treated as a universal fit promise for another.

Wig dolls have a different checklist

On many Iris Collect petit (アイリスコレクトプチ) dolls, the head uses a removable wig and inset eyes rather than the rooted hair of a typical Ex☆Cute character. For instance, Azone's official Iris Collect petit product descriptions specify AZT8-45 bodies and, for certain characters, 8-9 inch wigs and 20 mm eyes.

Larger Iris Collect (アイリスコレクト) editions can use AZO2 bodies with different torso shapes, such as the 50 cm I-bust specification on Yuliya. Do not buy a wig or outfit just because both dolls are described as 1/3 scale.

Wig inches describe the head fit, not the doll's height. Check the actual wig, head and body listings rather than extrapolating from the number printed on the box.

Five checks before you order an outfit

  1. Find the doll's precise edition name and product code. A character can have several body generations across different releases.
  2. Read the body specification, including size, bust and skin colour. White, Milky White and Whity are not one interchangeable label.
  3. Check the outfit's fit list. Azone's XS, S, Picco Neemo P and AZT8-45 fit information are much more useful than a general scale description.
  4. Look at what is actually in the set. Shoes, props, hand parts or extra garments in photography may be sold separately.
  5. Ask about the piece you're uncertain about, ideally with both the clothing code and your doll's edition code. "Will it fit my doll?" is an excellent collector question, but the model information makes it answerable.

Nana's little note ♡

My favourite doll-care habit isn't particularly exciting: taking one good photograph of the original box and noting down the edition code. Future me will absolutely forget which wig size a particular head uses.

A tiny notebook saves an awful lot of detective work. And yes, a real notebook is allowed, even if the dolls would prefer one their own size. (´꒳`)♡
